At my mums workplace there’s this guy that comes sometimes to visit the residents, and my mum was going on about how kind this guy was (takes residents to dinner and lunch,to the gp,does check ins and regularly calls and jist rlly kind and lovely) and my mum showed me a screenshot from a video call he did with her and the staff. And it was the actor Will Poulter
Dumb rant about art incoming. Something about the character design of Pixar’s Elemental disgusts me. It’s not just the generic belongs-in-a-heartburn-ad look of the female lead or the Generic Pixar Man (water edition) look of the male lead. It’s the fact that the earth and air elementals, almost all of whom are background characters, are stout and large and round, while the protagonists (and certain water and fire side characters) still follow the obnoxious Pixar “slimthick woman, slightly out-of-shape (but not fat!!) man” rule of character design. And they’re all just so, so boring. Look at this and try to feel anything.
Crazy how our bodies are literally built for pleasure and overly ascetic patriarchal religions try to tell us that our flesh is evil. We have thousands of taste buds for enjoying delicious food and drink. Happy hormones are triggered when we dance. We can sing to entertain ourselves and others. Conscious, aligned sex with a good partner feels great and improves your health. We have beautiful eyes, figures, lips, hair to attract each other. We laugh so hard we cry and it feels GREAT. The smell of a rose on a warm summer breeze lifts my mood instantly. Our bodies are so so sacred. Nature is sacred. The Divine dwells in the earth and within us just as much as ‘up there’.

People in the tags keep saying this but unironically but this WAS unironic I actually do have hobbies and I am mediocre at them. And they do make me happy anyway
